Get all the important information about Air Serbia wet lease partnerships at a glance and find answers to frequently asked questions related to this topic.

A wet leased flight is a flight operated by another airline on behalf of its customer airline. It is governed by a wet lease agreement, concluded between two parties – lessor and lessee. A wet lease is a leasing arrangement wherby one airline (lessor) provides an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance coverage (ACMI) to another airline (lessee). All flights within the wet lease are operated under lessee’s code and flight number, i.e. Air Serbia.

With aim to carry out the planned flight schedule and allocate adequate seat capacity to each route as well as to offer you more travel options and direct flights to your favorite destination, airlines across the globe, including Air Serbia, enter into wet lease partnerships to further strengthen its own route networks and operations as well as to respond properly to increasing demand for air travel.

Fleet and route network expansion is a complex and significant task for most of the airlines. Those require proper planning and may take time. On the other hand, to follow the market development and respond to the needs of our customers, we have entered into cooperation with renowed and reliable airlines to support this growth.

To meet our passenger expectations and requirements, during the high demand period, as well as to ensure reliable flight operations, selected flights and routes are being operated in cooperation with our wet lease partner airlines: GetJet Airlines, Bulgaria Air and Fly2Sky Airlines. More information about wet lease partner airlines, their fleet and aircraft seating may be found here.

GetJet Airlines operates usually with Airbus A320 aircraft, each having the capacity to accomodate 180 passengers in a single class configuration. From time to time, depending on operational needs, Airbus A320 aircraft may be exhanged with Boeing B737-800 aircraft. Both aircraft types are modern and efficient jetliners, providing same level of safety and comfort. Passenger cabin layout is in 3-3 seat configuration (6 seats by each row) for both aircraft types.

Fly2Sky Airlines is an all-Airbus A320 aircraft operator. A total of 180 passengers can be accomodated in the single cabin configuration. Passenger cabin layout is in 3-3 seat configuration (6 seats by each row).

Bulgaria Air operates Embraer E-190 aircraft for Air Serbia, each having the capacity to accomodate up to 108 passengers in a single class configuration. Passenger cabin layout is in 2-2 seat configuration (4 seats by each row).

Aircraft changes are normal and usual practice in aviation industry. Initially scheduled aircraft type may change due to numerous pperational and commercial reasons, driven by factors under and out of the control of the operating airline. Aircraft changes sometimes are needed to ensure schedule stability, reduce potential delays and avoid further disrutptions to the planned schedules.

Yes, you can pre-reserve your favourite seat on a flight operated by a wet lease airline. In case of aircraft change, our customer care teams will take care for you to be re-seated at the seat closest to your originaly booked seat, with the same or similar characteristics.

Yes, Business Class product is available on board all flights operated by our wet lease airline partners. The selection of meals and beverages is the same as on board the flights operated by an Air Serbia aircraft. Please mind that due to limited cabin space, on board service may defer on Embraer E190 aircraft operated by Bulgaria Air compared to other aircraft types. We apologize for the incovenience if the on board service difers from the standard one and if your first choice is not available. We thank you for understanding.

Mulitple reasons may influence the decision and possibility to brand a wet leased  aircraft, such as duration of the lease itself, available slots for branding and painting at painting facilities, time needed to complete this task etc. In addition, the wet lease airlines use their aircraft for short terms contracts as well with other customers. To allow this, the aircraft must be quickly returned to their original condition without requring more time and influencing potential new operation.

This is why, in our case, Bulgaria Air aircraft are operating in their full livery, while the aircraft from other operatiors (GetJet Airlines and Fly2Sky Airlines) operate in all-white livery.

Passenger cabin of all wet leased aircraft are branded with Air Serbia marks, including seat covers, on board magazines, buy on board brochures and Air Serbia on board music. We are committed to delivering as consistent service as possible whenever you are flying with our wet lease partner airlines.

To all flights operated on behalf of a wet lease airline, standard rules and procedures apply as for all other flights operated by an Air Serbia aircraft, including check-in, baggage allowance, baggage transfering etc. All the information concerning your travel, regardless of the flight operator, are available at airserbia.com.

Together with our wet lease partner airlines, we are dedicated to delivering the same level of comfort and service as on-board an Air Serbia aircraft, in both Business and Economy Class. Depending on the aircraft type, products and services are adapted to it and sometimes may vary. We apologize if your first choice is not available.

The official language on board used by the cabin crews of GetJet Airlines, Bulgaria Air and Fly2Sky Airlines is English. For your safety and comfort, we have pre-recorded standard onboard announcements that may be played in both Serbian and English. From time to time, a Serbian-speaking ambassador may be available during the flight.

We strongly encourage you to share your experiences and suggestions you believe can help us to improve our products and services when flying with Air Serbia or our wet lease partner airlines. To do so, please click on the following link.

If your Air Serbia flight (from JU100 to JU999) is operated by a wet lease airline and your ticket number starts with 115, the contractual relationship is between the passenger and the airline on whose network the flight is performed (Air Serbia). In this case, any inquiry concerning the flight experience, booking (changes, cancellations etc.) or itinerary disruption can only be managed by the airline on whose behalf a wet lease airline is operating (Air Serbia). Thus, passengers should contact Air Serbia directly as wet lease airline cannot process or engage into any communication with passenger regarding flights they operate on behalf of Air Serbia. Air Serbia contacts may be found here.

If your charter flight (from JU9100 to JU9999) is operated by the wet lease airline, for more information please contact your travel agency with whom you have booked your travel package.

You should contact directly the airline you have your ticket booked with, not any of wet lease partner airlines. Any contact with passengers, concerning the in-flight experience, booking policies, baggage, check-in or disruption handling, will be only managed by the airline on whose behalf the flight is performed.  Thus passengers should contact Air Serbia as wet lease airlines cannot process any of the questions nor engage in any dialogue with passenger regarding flights operated for Air Serbia.

Check-in operations must be completed as for all other Air Serbia flights, directly via our website or at departure airport. Wet leased airlines do not provide check-in services for flights operated on behalf of air Serbia.

Where flights are operated under a wet lease agreement on behalf of a wet lease airline, including Bulgaria Air, Fly2Sky Airlines and GetJet Airlines, all complaints and matters, are managed by Air Serbia. Thus all dialogue in such circumstances should be between the passenger and the airline on which they are ticketed.

Any of the wet leased airlines can not process correspondence in relation to these flights, disruptions, complaints etc.
