If your flight is marked with a three-digit number (eg JU523) and is operated by a different airline than Air Serbia, you can also check-in for the flight via our website or mobile application.

Unfortunately the application may behave in that way and we are working to resolve this. You need to see an airport agent to complete the check-in process.

Seat selection is available during online check-in. Depending on your fare type, seat choice will either be free of charge or subject to a fee. For more information on our seat rates please click here. In case you do not choose a preferred seat, our Online Check-In platform will automatically assign you a random seat for your journey. You can also select your seat through one of the following channels: My trips, by your travel agent, Air Serbia Contact Centre and any of Air Serbia retail shops.

Assigned seats cannot be changed either through Web Check-In or by our Sales Agents at the Contact Centre/Retail shops. Please note that you will also not be able to change the assigned seat at the baggage drop off counter. If you would like to pre-reserve your preferred seat, please do so up to 48hrs prior to your flights departure.

We are sorry to advise you that our Web Check-In application does not recognize your Frequent Flyer (FF) tier status. Hence, you will not be granted any seats Free of Charge (FOC). To get the seats you are entitled to FOC next time you fly with us, please select your seats before the check-in opens by contacting our Contact Centre or one of our Retail Shops which will fulfil your request. Unfortunately, you will not be able to do so on your own through My trips platform either.

Since September 2018, you have been offered possibility to buy additional luggage when checking in online. You can buy up to 5 pieces of excess luggage per passenger.

Buying additional luggage during the online check-in is your last chance to add extra luggage at lower rates than those at the airport. There is a separate price list at the airport, according to which the excess baggage is more expensive than the one purchased in advance.

Information on the allowed amount of free checked luggage valid for the fare you have bought is available when checking in online, on the "Personalize Your Flight" page, under the "Excess Baggage" section. If the fare you paid includes a free checked luggage, next to your name there will be the following text: "You qualify for XX free baggage(s)". If the fare you have bought does not include free checked luggage, there will be no sign or text next to your name.

Information on total allowed amount of checked luggage valid for the fare you have bought is available when checking in online, on the "Personalize Your Flight" page, under the "Excess Luggage" section. However, if you have bought excess checked luggage before checking in online, the information about the allowed amount of luggage will not be up-to-date (regardless of whether you travel with a fare including checked luggage free of charge or not). Also, the purchase of additional pieces of luggage will be disabled during the online check-in. Air Serbia, in cooperation with technological provider, is putting efforts to correct this in the information view. Be sure that the transaction with which you purchase additional luggage before the online check-in is recorded in our system. For precaution, we advise you to check your status in this situation by calling our Contact Centre or your travel agent. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to regulate and pay for the planned excess luggage during your online check-in. Such transactions can be made exclusively at the airport. By checking in online, you can only purchase an extra piece of checked luggage.

On the "Personalize Your Flight" page, the "Excess Baggage" section, you can purchase a standard or XL piece of checked luggage which differ in the allowed weight and dimensions.

If you received a notification message after you successfully checked in on the confirmation page that all transactions from the credit card need to be verified by presenting the card to the airport agent or boarding will be denied, you will not be issued a boarding pass. You need to bring the card or a photocopy of the card used for purchase with you to the airport so the agent will be able to verify it and to issue the boarding pass.

No, if you successfully checked in online there is no need to print a boarding pass. You can use the electronic version from your email or mobile phone (Apple Wallet also supported) to board the aircraft.

Note: in Krasnodar, due to the request of the airport, after completing online flight check-in, it is necessary for passengers to report to the flight check-in counter, where they will be issued a boarding pass.

Here are possible solutions:

 

  1. If you bought a ticket with Air Serbia, but the flight is operated by another airline (a code-share flight). These flights are marked with a four-digit number (e.g. JU8234) and you can only check-in for the flight on the website of the airline operating the flight.
  2. If your flight is more than 48 hours from the time you attempt to check in you will not be able to complete the process.
  3. If your flight is within 1 hour from your check-in attempt you will not be able to check in. You should go to the check-in desk to complete the process. Please keep in mind that airport check-in closes 45 minutes prior to departure / 60 minutes prior to departure for direct flights to New York.
  4. Please check if you entered the correct booking details. Only the 6-character code labeled as PNR/Booking Reference/Record Locator or the electronic ticket number are acceptable. Both numbers are indicated on your ticket.
  5. You will also be unable to check in if your reservation contains specific services including but not limited to: Unaccompanied Minor, Stretcher, Wheelchair, Oxygen. Please contact our Contact Centre for details.
  6. If your connecting flight is not shown on your itinerary page you will not be able to check in for that segment. You will be able to check in online only for parts of the journey shown on your itinerary page.

As per the regulations you are not allowed to board an aircraft if you carry any of the materials indicated on the list. You need to remove those materials in order to complete the check-in process and board the aircraft.
