Air Serbia to land at new airport in Berlin as of 8 November
29 October 2020
As of 8 November, Air Serbia will use the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) for flights between Belgrade and Berlin, instead of the Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL), where the aircraft of the Serbian national airline are currently landing.
The Berlin Brandenburg International Airport "Willy Brandt" is scheduled to open on 31 October. The new airport, located 18 kilometres southeast of the centre of Berlin, will replace Schönefeld and Tegel airports as the only commercial airport for the German capital and the province of Brandenburg.
Air Serbia resumed the Berlin service on 16 June, after a temporary suspension of air traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic. The national airline currently operates flights between the Serbian and German capitals four times a week.
