Air Serbia in “My First Salary” programme
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, will be participating in the “My First Salary” programme for the second year in a row, and is inviting young talents to sign up for the contest which will be open until 31 October 2021.
The programme created with the aim to encourage youth employment enables candidates without prior work experience to significantly boost their employment opportunities by getting an internship at Air Serbia where they can acquire specific know-how, skills and work competences.
As part of the “My First Salary” programme, unemployed persons with high school and university education will have the opportunity to apply for a total of 56 positions in Air Serbia, via the official web-site of the project. The Serbian national airline’s departments which will be accepting candidates are Corporate Affairs, Transformation, Marketing and Guest Experience, IT, E-commerce, Crew Planning and Control, PSS and Distribution, Safety and Compliance, Human Resources, Flight Operations, Procurement, Technical, Ground Services, Sales, Finance and Cargo.
“Based on the very positive experiences from last year, we have decided to take part in the “My First Salary” programme again this year. We are aware how important it is for young people at the beginning of their careers when a major company offers them an opportunity for professional development, acquiring practical knowledge and developing the necessary skills. It is our great pleasure that we can enable a number of candidates to have their first work experience with us, and we are convinced that working at the national airline will motivate them for further achievements. Candidates who stand out the most will have the opportunity to join colleagues who have last year officially started working for our company after the programme,” said Milica Netković, GM People and Performance.
The “My First Salary” project garnered great interest last year, and a total of 1,423 candidates applied for positions at Air Serbia. A total of 27 interns were accepted into the nine-month programme, of which 9 were hired by Air Serbia.
