Air Serbia commenced flights to Palma de Mallorca
Today, on 11 June, Air Serbia commenced flights on the new seasonal route between Belgrade and Palma de Mallorca in Spain with flight JU690 at 05:00 am, performed with an Airbus A319 aircraft. The Serbian national airline will operate flights between Belgrade and its fourth destination in Spain, after Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, from 11 June to 29 October, twice a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The inaugural flight was warmly greeted at Palma de Mallorca Airport, the third largest in Spain, located eight kilometres from the island's capital. The official ceremony was attended by representatives of Air Serbia and the airport.
"We are glad that we have significantly improved the functionality of our network by carefully choosing destinations, in accordance with the wishes of passengers and the company's strategic plans. After the introduction of flights to Valencia in April, we are now further strengthening our position in Spain. The great demand and load factor of flights to Palma de Mallorca in the coming period show us that we have made the right move and we are glad that we have provided passengers with an even better selection of summer vacation destinations", said Boško Rupić, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
Palma de Mallorca is the capital and port of the island of Mallorca, the greatest jewel of the Balearic Islands. Completely designed for tourists, it offers endless opportunities to enjoy historical sights, a lively cultural scene, gastronomic specialties, rich Gothic architecture and paradise-like beaches with white sand.
By establishing a route between Belgrade and Palma de Mallorca, Air Serbia will offer passengers seamless connections to other cities in its network, via the Serbian capital, such as Podgorica, Sarajevo, Tivat and Zadar.
