Air Serbia shares success story with Yale University students
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, hosted an international group of students from the graduate business school of Yale University, one of the highest-acclaimed academic institutions in the world.
The group of 26 students, who are enrolled in an MBA programme at the Yale School of Management, were taken on a tour of the Air Serbia head office and had the opportunity to meet and talk with the airline’s management including Djordje Vukotic, Head of Global Sales, and Natasa Basic, Learning and Development Manager.
Their visit to Air Serbia was organised as part of a familiarization trip aimed at introducing the group to Serbia’s culture, business environment and national economy and involved visits to major businesses.
Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said: “We were delighted to host this talented group of students from the Yale School of Management on a visit to our headquarters.
“Our recent turnaround story is an inspiring case study of how a public-private partnership, in this case with Etihad Airways, can reinvigorate a business and should be shared with young leaders, both in Serbia and abroad.
“The results of that partnership speak for themselves. We have strengthened our business model and are now on the brink of an impressive new growth phase that will see us launch transatlantic flights to New York. “We are grateful to have had the opportunity of sharing our experience as Serbia’s national airline with students from one of the most prestigious business schools in the United States and have received very positive feedback on the session.”
Founded in 1701, Yale University is the third-oldest higher education institution in the United States and has a strong international reputation for its academic programmes.
Last year, Air Serbia hosted a similar meeting with students from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
