Air Serbia launches cabin crew recruitment drive

Air Serbia will host open days in two of Serbia's biggest cities as part of the “New Smiles of Air Serbia” cabin crew recruitment campaign.

The open days will take place in Novi Sad on Saturday 28 November and Belgrade on Sunday 6 December and will offer interested candidates an opportunity to deliver their CVs, meet Air Serbia's top recruiters, and ask questions about the high-flying role.

Dane Kondić, Air Serbia's Chief Executive Officer, said: "With the growth of the Air Serbia network and the recent announcement of New York flights, this is the right time for Air Serbia to welcome onboard more cabin crew. Delivering our uniquely Serbian hospitality at 11,000 metres is an exciting and challenging responsibility that is perfectly suited for Serbians with experience in the hospitality sector. The role offers men and women an opportunity to see the world, attend state-of-the-art training courses in Abu Dhabi and develop a fantastic career in aviation, while still being close to home in Serbia. We are aiming to employ more than 100 additional cabin crew, which will make a significant contribution to the local job market, and expect a very strong turnout on our open days".

Air Serbia cabin crew undergo world-class safety and service training on the Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft types at the Etihad Airways Training Academy in Abu Dhabi, the vibrant capital of the UAE, in addition to which they are provided with transport, uniforms and medical insurance.

The airline received 2,100 applications at the most recent cabin crew open day event in Belgrade, held in September 2015.

Air Serbia Cabin Crew requirements:

• Minimum high school diploma
• Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in other languages will be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent personal presentation, style and image
• Positive attitude with a natural ability to provide excellent service
• Flexibility and the motivation to manage a demanding work schedule
