Air Serbia check-in times return to normal at Belgrade Airport
Air Serbia is advising customers that check-in procedures at Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport have returned to normal, after the airline upgraded its airport IT system earlier this week.
From 25 to 27 February, the airline switched from the old Gaeten check-in system to a new, state-of-the-art SabreSonic check-in platform.
During the three days of the systems upgrade, customers had been advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled flight departure time.
Now that the upgrade has been completed, the airline is returning to a regular two-hour check-in procedure for all flights.
Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said: "Right from the start, our focus was on ensuring this technology upgrade had no impact on our guests’ travel plans. The team at Air Serbia was well prepared, we offered hospitality to all check-in guests on all three days, and we were fully focused on this important technology upgrade project. Passenger check-in for all flights went extremely smoothly, with flights departing on time."
The cutover operation involved hundreds of Air Serbia, Etihad Airways and Sabre staff who worked around the clock to ensure the smooth transition.
