Air Serbia signed code-share agreement with Slovenian carrier Adria Airways

Serbian national airline signed a code-share agreement with the Slovenian national carrier Adria Airways, according to which Air Serbia got the exclusive right for flights on the Belgrade – Ljubljana route.

Daily flights of our national airline to the Jože Pučnik Airport in Ljubljana were officially launched on 10 December last year.

Flights from Ljubljana offer excellent connections through the Air Serbia hub on the Nikola Tesla Beograd Airport to numerous European destinations, including Stockholm, Rome, Vienna, Copenhagen, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Prague, Stuttgart, Bucharest, Zurich, Milan and Berlin, as well as links to the Near East and connections to the network of flights of its strategic partner, Etihad Airways.

The code-share agreement comes into force on 17 February, so that Air Serbia will be the sole operating carrier, and Adria Airways the marketing carrier (i.e. Adria Airways will maintain its marketing code on the flight).

The code share flights will be open to all, i.e. passengers can be booked freely for all available seats on the flight.

Dane Kondić, CEO of Air Serbia says: "We are glad to establish this form of cooperation which will only strengthen the existing good relations between our two companies. In addition to introducing Ljubljana as a new destination in our growing network of flights, the cooperation will bring about new benefits for our passengers, as well as to economies of both Serbia and Slovenia. More importantly, the new route will provide for a two-way connection via Belgrade between Ljubljana, Central Europe and key destinations beyond."

ATR72 aircraft will fly between Belgrade and Ljubljana.
