Air Serbia brings Belgian media members to Belgrade

Air Serbia, with support of Brussels Airport has invited members of the Belgian media for a familiarization press trip to Belgrade on this weekend, focusing on the splendours of a break in the Serbian capital.

The route between Belgrade and Brussels enjoys a long history and has been popular for a number of decades, first launched on April 4th 1969.

Daily services between Brussels's International Airport and Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport were first introduced by Air Serbia in December 2013, offering more convenient flights, and excellent connectivity through the Air Serbia Belgrade hub to Podgorica, Tivat, Skopje, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki and Bucharest.

The route is now getting more popular, particularly as Serbia approaches EU accession. Business related travel is witnessing a noted increase, largely due to the development of a close political and economic relationship between Serbia and the EU.

Brussels Friday evening flight with return on Sunday afternoon is excellent for a weekend break, and leisure travellers on this route are on the rise, while many holidaymakers also take advantage of a great number of connecting flights across Europe via the Belgrade hub.

Dane Kondić, Air Serbia Chief Executive Officer, said: "More and more passengers are benefiting from the convenient daily flights between Belgrade and Brussels. The route has much to offer both business travellers and holidaymakers while many flyers are making the most of connecting flights across the region via the Belgrade hub."

Starting with the summer flight schedule, on 31st March, this route will be served solely by A319 aircraft.

News reporters from Brussles will be arriving to Belgrade on this evening's flight onboard the new A319. The new livery and new technology aircraft are complemented with the enhanced inflight service provided for Air Serbia's guests, comprising a new menu, free bar, and improved inflight entertainment.

Visitng members of the Belgian media will get a chance to admire Belgrade by day and by night on sightseeing tours organized for them in cooperation with the Belgrade Tourist Organization.
