Air Serbia flies new planes direct to Tel Aviv
Air Serbia, the national airline of Serbia, has commenced direct and more frequent flights to Tel Aviv, Israel's second most populous city and the country’s commercial hub.
Four weekly and direct flights, instead of two weekly flights via Larnaka to Ben Gurion International Airport, have been introduced to serve the point to point market as well as provide seamless connectivity to destinations within Europe.
The Belgrade to Tel Aviv service will use a combination of Airbus A319s and Boeing 737s until the phasing out of the 737s in May 2014.
Tel Aviv is a thriving modern city, both dynamic and diverse, offering visitors plenty of sightseeing opportunities, a flourishing culture scene and excellent dining experiences. An ideal destination for fans of the outdoors, adventure lovers can indulge in a wide array of marine sports.
The Tel Aviv flights operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday offering excellent connections through Air Serbia's Belgrade Hub at Nikola Tesla Airport to many important destinations across Europe including Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Moscow, Copenhagen, Zurich, Vienna, Berlin and many more.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia Chief Executive Officer, said: "Greater frequency of flights to Tel Aviv is part of our strategy to continually expand our network to provide travellers with more choice and greater convenience. These direct flights contribute to strengthening the positioning of Air Serbia as a leading airline in region and Belgrade's Nikola Tesla airport as an important transit airport for European travellers. We look forward to the unfolding opportunities."
There has been a strong demand for the new Air Serbia direct flights to Tel Aviv, with a good mix of point-to-point bookings as well as through traffic that will see people travelling beyond the Belgrade hub.
