Air Serbia receives highest airline ratings in the region
Air Serbia has been recognised with the highest combined airline ratings by the internationally-regarded website www.AirlineRatings.com
AirlineRatings.com gave Air Serbia a six-star safety ranking, placing it among the safest airlines in the region, while Air Serbia also received a five-star product rating, the highest in the region, upgrading its earlier observation status and criteria from "Regional Carrier" to "Full Service Carrier" for the first time.
The Airline Ratings system takes into account a variety of factors related to audits from aviation's governing bodies and lead associations, as well as government audits and the airlines' own records.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia CEO, said: "As an airline, we place the highest priority on safety. It is embedded in our working procedures and processes, and integrated into everything we do. We are committed to the full service concept, having placed great emphasis on our products and services as being the key differentiators against our competitive set. Our business class product represents our commitment to be best in class. We are particularly pleased to be recognised by airlineratings for these two essential components. Such recognition by experienced industry professionals, provides further proof of the strides we are making at becoming the region's leading airline".
AirlineRatings.com was developed to provide everyone in the world a one-stop-shop for all information related to airlines, formed by a team of aviation editors, who have forensically researched nearly every airline in the world. Their rating system ranks airlines based on a one-to-seven stars system on safety - with seven being the highest ranking. The website currently monitors 449 airlines for safety. In addition, over 230 of the airlines on the site that carry 99 per cent of the world's passengers have also received a product rating, with a different rating system applied for low cost, regional and full service carriers.
