Air Serbia introduces "Euro Sky Pass" for long haul travellers
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, today introduced a new Business Class and Economy Class fare program - "Euro Sky Pass", which will give long-haul travellers arriving in Serbia, the flexibility and freedom to travel onwards to 37 destinations on the airline's European network.
The special travel pass is designed for guests flying to Serbia, via Air Serbia's codeshare partners from long-haul segments of Australia, Canada and the US - such as codeshare flights with Etihad Airways from Sydney or Melbourne to Serbia through Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival in Serbia, guests will be able to use the "Euro Sky Pass" to travel onwards throughout Europe.
To use the "Euro Sky Pass", guests can purchase onward tickets in advance in the form of coupons, and redeem them for travel from Belgrade to Air Serbia-operated destinations within Europe. The pass is initially available for guests travelling from Australia, but will be gradually rolled out to the Canadian and US markets.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Our research shows us that generally guests travelling to Europe from faraway destinations, such as Australia, Canada and the US, are compelled to take stopovers throughout Europe. The Euro Sky Pass will make these stopovers convenient and cost effective for travellers, especially when they are on vacation and making last-minute decisions on where to travel. The Euro Sky Pass will also boost Serbia's inbound tourism as it will create an incentive for leisure travellers to use Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport as the focal point for their holidays. But importantly, the flexible terms and conditions will give them the opportunity to explore other parts of Europe."
Rates will be applied based on geographical zones concept. Zone 1 represents regional Air Serbia flights close to Belgrade, Zone 2 represents non-regional Air Serbia flights less than two hours, and Zone 3 represents flights for more than two hours.
Guests are advised to verify their "Euro Sky Pass" and get it ticketed by a local Air Serbia representative office or select authorised travel agents.
