Air Serbia launches web check-in service
10 August 2015
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, today announced the launch of its web check-in service. Air Serbia's guests now have the option of checking in for their flights online at www.airserbia.com.
The service is available for all Air Serbia flights from Belgrade, and for flights from six other popular points in Air Serbia's network - Abu Dhabi, London, Istanbul, Beirut, Prague and Bucharest. Air Serbia will expand the availability of web check-in to the rest of the network at a later date.
The web check-in feature allows Air Serbia guests to check in for their flight from any web-enabled device, complete seat allocation and print their boarding pass. Guests can check-in online from as early as 36 hours and no later than 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Guests are required to print their boarding pass and bring it to the airport.
Web check-in can also be used by passengers with baggage. Luggage must be dropped at the special "Baggage Drop-Off" counter no later than 45 minutes before the flight and guests must arrive at the gate no later than 20 minutes before the flight. At the airport, guests who have already checked-in, and are only carrying hand baggage can bypass the check-in counter and proceed directly to passport and security control. All standard baggage and cabin baggage allowances apply.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia's CEO, said: "Together with the soon to be introduced wi-fi onboard, and the opening of our Business Lounge, the web check-in feature is one in a series of innovations that we are introducing this year, to honour our commitment to enhance all aspects of the travel experience. We are extremely proud to see the first phase of our new web check-in feature fully functional and in the second phase, as the investment in our infrastructure takes hold, we will expand the offering across our network".
