Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, will captivate visitors to this month’s International Tourism Fair in Belgrade with special United States-themed initiatives to celebrate the launch of flights to New York.
The annual travel exhibition, which is the largest event of its kind in the Balkans and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year, will take place between 18 and 21 February in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.
As a leading exhibitor, the Air Serbia stand will be centrally located in Hall 1, where the airline will promote its historic launch of long-haul services to New York, as well as offer visitors special deals and bonuses to frequent flyer members.
The carrier will start a five-a-week, non-stop service between Belgrade and New York in June 2016, which will be operated on an Airbus A330-200, the airline’s first wide-body aircraft.
Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer Air Serbia, said: “As the region’s biggest annual travel trade event, the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our products and services, particularly our upcoming flights to New York, and meet with future guests.
“This will be the third consecutive year for Air Serbia to exhibit at the fair and we are planning on making it a memorable one, with fantastic deals available only at our stand and great bonuses for visitors who sign up to our frequent flyer program.
“As the national airline, we are proud to participate in the International Tourism Fair, whose goals of supporting tourism growth and raising Serbia’s profile as a truly exceptional holiday destination are closely aligned to our own.''
Visitors to the Air Serbia stand will be able to take advantage of flight promotions across the carrier’s network, and those who sign up for an Air Serbia Etihad Guest membership, the carrier’s award-winning frequent flyer program, will receive 1,500 miles as a registration bonus, which can be spent on flights or thousands of products, such as jewellery, watches and electronics.
In 2015, the International Tourism Fair attracted more than 1,100 exhibitors from 50 countries and pulled in close to 70,000 visitors.
