Air Serbia to increase number of weekly flights to Istanbul
Starting from Saturday, 19 September, Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, will increase the number of Belgrade-Istanbul flights to seven a week. The flights, which last one hour and forty minutes, will be operated with Airbus A319 aircraft. It is planned to offer 2,016 seats a week to Air Serbia’s passengers on the route to Turkey’s biggest city.
"Adding two weekly flight to Istanbul is a clear indicator of the increasing demand by our passengers for flights to the city on the Bosphorus, as well as the good connections that Air Serbia offers via Belgrade to Vienna, Berlin, Zurich, Paris, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Prague, Tivat, Zagreb, Stuttgart and other European cities," General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia Jiri Marek stated.
After a 2.5-year hiatus, Air Serbia successfully resumed the flights to Istanbul on 11 December 2019. The Serbian national airline reached an agreement last month to expand business cooperation with Turkish Airlines in the form of a codeshare agreement, which resulted in a greatly expanded selection and flexibility in planning their travels for passengers of both airlines.
