Air Serbia at Terminal 1 of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as of June 3

Starting from 3 June, Air Serbia will be using Terminal 1 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City for landing and takeoff, instead of Terminal 4, where the aircraft of the Serbian national airline have been landing since 2016. With this change, Air Serbia will join the biggest international airlines serving New York City on Terminal 1.
After the planned reconstruction, which also represents the greatest capital project in the history of the New York airport, Terminal 1 will become the most spacious and the most modern terminal on the JFK Airport. With 23 new gates, the upgraded terminal will be four times bigger than the existing one, and will include the area of the current Terminals 1 and 2 and former Terminal 3.
"After recently introducing the latest addition to our fleet, the new Airbus A330 which we use on flights to New York, and significantly improving the service, we are extremely pleased that, on this occasion, we will contribute to an even better travel experience for our passengers. Soon, they will be able to enjoy more space and smaller crowds, and once the reconstruction is finished, Terminal 1 will offer them numerous benefits," said George Petković, VP Americas, Air Serbia.
The national airline currently operates flights to New York four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays, and the frequencies will gradually increase during summer season. Belgrade-New York flights are operated by the wide-body passenger jet, YU-ARB, which bears the name and the image of the most famous Serbian scientist, Nikola Tesla.
