Air Serbia carries two million passengers since start of 2024
Today, on 8 July, Air Serbia carried its 2 millionth passenger in 2024. The Serbian national airline accomplished this result 11 days earlier compared to 2023, when it managed to carry 2 million passengers on 19 July. Since the start of the year, Air Serbia has performed 22,155 flights, which is 1,713 flights more than in 2023, when it had operated a total of 20,442 flights before 8 July.
“Air Serbia is making better progress each year, as evidenced by the company’s results. In 2022, we carried our 2 millionth passenger on 5 October, and last year we managed to do it two and a half months sooner, on 19 July, and now we have raised the bar even further and today, we carried our 2 millionth passenger in 2024. Despite the challenges the aviation industry is facing this summer, we are trying to offer our passengers the best service and be a reliable partner on their trips. The trust our passengers place in us, by choosing the Serbian national airline as their carrier, proves that our dedication has been recognised, which makes us very happy and proud”, said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
The Serbian national airline was inducted into the Airline Industry Hall of Fame at the recently held 50th Air Transport World Awards, for its achievements and excellence in the air transport industry. The Air Transport World Awards are the most coveted honour an airline or individual can receive, celebrating excellence in the air transport industry. In addition to Air Serbia, the ATW inducted five other airlines into its Hall of Fame this year, including Emirates, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air Canada and Korean Air.
