Boris Ciglić became fascinated with aviation history from a childhood obsession with plastic scale modelling. He quickly became interested as much in the pilots and their stories, with particular interest in Royal Yugoslav Air Force and aerial operations over Yugoslavia in World War II. Born in 1971, he graduated law at Belgrade University and whenever free, enjoys fine arts and sports.
Dragan Savić, arguably the leading expert on the Axis aerial operations in Yugoslavia, has been exploring archives and interviewing former airmen for almost three decades. Born in 1956, he lives in Zemun but feels most at home in splendid nature of his ranch in Barajevo.

Both authors have contributed to numerous books and articles in the past.
Their first book, "Croatian Aces of World War 2" was published in United Kingdom in 2002.
